With more than 540 000 beds in residential homes for elderlies, it becomes indispensable f or those complexes to place the well-being of its residents as a priority! You can discover here how the sensory and scent marketing contributes to this.
1) Elodie Frouart, psychomotor therapist for 7 years, introduces the Sofia residence :
The Sofia residence exists since 2008, and is situated in Yerres, in the Paris region in France. It is both a quiet and dynamic place thanks to its location in a wooded park, but also because it is close to the city center.
This retirement home welcomes 75 residents who have a spacious room and adapted to their needs. A medical team of 5 nurses, 20 nursing assistants, 2 psychologists, 1 psychomotor therapist and 4 liberal physiotherapists are also at their service.
We provide several lounges, a theater, a Snoezelen room, a multi-purpose hall where we organize various activities such as gym, song sessions, a cinema, etc.
2) What are its main assets and the most original ones?
First of all I would say that it’s a warm and friendly house, where it is pleasant to live and work. Its environment and performance make it a home where comfort and well-being are priority.
For example, few houses like this one have a Snoezelen room. This is a room where senses are stimulated and in which resides a relaxing and safety atmosphere, and soft stimulations.
Light effects and music encourage concentration as well as the eye pursuit. The tactile sense is developed in the touch of covers, the water mattress, heated with acoustic waves which helps to be aware of its body and promotes the muscle relaxation. Finally, the olfactory sense is stimulated through an essential oil diffuser.
3) Why do you diffuse essential oils?
Diffusing essential oils allows us to improve life quality of the residents and the staff. Thanks to their natural benefactions which help to calm the residents, and to create a pleasant atmosphere, but also due to their beneficial virtues which revitalize and clean the air.
4) What scents do you diffuse?
In the protected unit, we diffuse a composition called "well-being", in which you find eucalyptus, pine, lavender and mint.
Whereas in the Snoezelen room, it is a mixture named "complex relaxation ", a mixture of bigaradier seed, camomile, sweet orange and ho wood.
5) How did you know Natarom and how do you collaborate?
Before knowing Natarom the house was equipped with an essential oil diffuser in glass, with which my colleagues and I were not satisfied.
So, I made a research on the Internet and I discovered your website. I went to the page named “distributors network”, I contacted your partner Mark Olfa Diffusion company, who redirected me to Mr Fulcran Teisserenc-Bonestève specialized in essential oil diffusion for retirement homes.
Then Mr Teisserenc-Bonestève came to explain us the concept, and to installed the device.
Since then, all the team is delighted by the result!
The residents and their families also appreciate the device.
We find these diffusers solid, reliable and very practical. There are easy to handle and we have no difficulty to use them.
